How Does Motor Insurance Direct Stack Up?

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Question: I just received a mailer about motor insurance direct and I was just wondering how it stacks up against the competition. Any word?

Answer: Motor Insurance Direct has been writing policies in the UK for quite a while now and they seem to do what they say they are going to do. Other than that we don’t have much of an opinion one way or the other. We try to remain impartial and answer more general questions about policies rather than review the specific companies.

With that being said there are a few things you should look into before doing business with any company.

  • Make certain the company is licensed to write policies in your area.
  • Call them and ask general questions to gauge the level of customer service you can expect from them if you decide to do business with them.
  • Get quotes from more than one company and make sure the premiums are reasonable before committing to a policy.
  • Purchase enough coverage to protect your financial situation.
  • Ask the agent to explain any confusing language in the policy. Get this in writing.

Shopping for car insurance is no different than shopping for any other item. If you put enough time and effort into the process you are sure to be rewarded with an inexpensive, quality, car insurance policy whether it is with Motor insurance direct or another company.

Boys and their dream toys

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

How many times have you heard or said the same phrase. ”BOYS AND THEIR

TOYS.” Or ”boys will be boys” From the day a baby boy is born he is dressed in blue and trained to love cars or anything that moves using fuel. They grow up with car toys and they dream about driving fast cars at night. Boys are raised with the notion that they have to be as hard and strong as a car. If you think about it they have to be hard as the outer metal body and more complicated then the working of a Hemi v8 engine.

I conducted a little experiment where I asked five of my best male friends a few questions about their dream cars. The aim of the experiment is to see if there is a connection between them.

1. The knowledge they have about cars.

2. Their attitudes towards different car make.

3. What color they choose and why.

Mike is the youngest of four brothers. His dream motor vehicle is the Audi S8. The color is silver with authentic black leather seat and 20” inch rims. Julian his, elder brother of four years. His dream car is a Roll Royce Phantom. It must be silver with Maple leather seat cover and 22” inch rims. They solely believe in Audi’s, as it’s a car of true class. They’ll never buy a secondhand car as they were raised with the mentality it should be brand new. Their father never brought a secondhand car why they?

Barlow, Waldo and Gavin are three brothers that share the same mother but have different fathers. You can see this clearly in their choice of cars. Waldo strongly believes in an Audi. He wants a S4. It must be black with cream leather seats and 20” inch rims. Barlow wants a Mercedes Benz AMG as he believes it’s sophisticated. Black with bronze leather seats and 19” inch rims. The Youngest Gavin only wants a fast car. He pledges for BMW but his dream car is a Nissan Skyline.Midnight blue with any color racing seats and 18” inch rims. The only thing these three brothers have in common is their usage of second hand models. All three of them has bought a secondhand model and seemed to have no problem with it.

The only thing all five friends have in common is that they all bought their cars at Nam Cars.

Although the fuel prices increase every month the number of people buying and selling their vehicles dilate - people would rather buy an economical vehicle which is light on fuel so that they can safe money however the vehicle when bought by a pre-owned car dealership is cheaper, it is still in A-OK condition as well which is the most important part of the deal not to forget that the service is of utmost importance as well!
Toyota, Nissan, Renault, SUV and Hyunda honest to mention a few are on their way to the top of the popularity list. There are more pre-owned car dealserships than new car dealerships due to the demand of the people wanting to buy a vehicle which is to their end however still affordable. Some of the vehicles that the secondhand car dealerships sell or have in stock are from people who do not always have enough money to pay the monthly installment the bank claims them and re-sells them which is a less inviting part of the business, however those vehicles are still as good as new. So what are you waiting for?
